And go where? Someplace else that doesn’t want them?

Be real, you just want them to die. To be gone, permanently. Don’t address the reasons people are homeless. Don’t provide actual housing. They’ll be fodder for labour camps soon enough, anyhow.

Nevermind there are currently 28 vacant homes for every one person experiencing homelessness in the U.S., many of which are owned not by individuals but by corporate conglomerates that have no incentive to fill them with people, since they’re a tax write-off.

Fuck everything about this. In modern society, housing should be a human right. There’s already more than enough to go round.

e: though now I think about it, what else should we expect from the US’s most famously notorious slumlord?

It’s a lot more sinister than that.

He started with the immigrants, because there was a tenuous theory under which his personal police force was allowed to fuck them up and do whatever they want. Some little speedbumps aside, that worked out okay, no one stopped it. Now he’s talking about federalizing the police force in one particular place, and moving on to the next target, who are citizens, American people, and where there’s not even that vague theory that he’s got a right to be throwing them in detention and letting them die of the natural conditions there.

If no one stops that, then it moves on to the next group.

I’d disagree on one point. The reason he started with immigrants is because on a deep level, many people - certainly most of his supporters - are somewhat racist, and are OK with immigrants getting fucked over, deported, or slaughtered.

Then they came for the homeless, but I did not speak up because I was housed

Then they came for the queers, but I did not speak up because I was not queer

Consider that the federal agencies are now demanding that state agencies provide information on all the people who receive benefits like SNAP, WIC, Housing assistance, HEAP, etc. Families who qualify for SNAP (foodstamps) also qualify for other benefits including higher ed scholarships. These are usually grant monies that the state is allowed to distribute. Now they want more info… because “waste and fraud” - why not trust the states to determine that??? so after the immigrants, they focus on the homeless… then move on to the poors.

In his decree on July 24 2025, he made it easier to pick up and detain homeless people.

        https://www.npr.org/2025/07/24/nx-s1-5479139/trump-homelessness-executive-order-civil-commitment-camping

It also mentions drug users and the mentally ill. They’ll be next on the list to go into the concentration camps.

And “mentally ill” is open to interpretation. They’re already on record for saying being trans or gay is an illness.

Going after disabled and mentally ill people was actually the first step for the Nazis, long before anyone was talking about death camps for particular ethnicities or sexual orientations. A disabled child, in July 1939, was arguably the first person deliberately killed in an organized and “legal” fashion during what would eventually mutate and grow, and become the holocaust.

Plenty of people have died in ICE custody since this started. If you hear from people who have visited and seen the conditions, it’s pretty clear why. The camps in Germany were the same: A lot of the deaths weren’t “on purpose” but just the natural outcome of conditions so harsh that they can’t sustain the basic functions that are necessary for life.

The camps were already running in 1939, probably some people had died “not on purpose” by then. Gerhard Kretschmar was just notable because he was the first one “on purpose.”

He doesn’t just want them dead, the rich want us dead. Make no mistake, they believe AI was the turning point they needed* to finally no longer have need of the labor of the poor. And they believe the culling of the poor is the best thing they can do to combat climate change (without any personal sacrifice, of course).

*And no, the fact that AI isn’t remotely the miracle they believe it is does not matter because they believe it is even though they’re wrong. And yes, the rich do believe in climate change, even as they deny it to our faces.

They need to be taught they’re not as smart as they think they are, and they need to learn the cost of their hubris, just like their predecessors did. These are people who have convinced themselves their success means they’re geniuses, rather than them being extremely lucky or sociopathic. They believe this because they pay people to be their ‘friends’ and stroke their egos, so they don’t live in reality. Most people go along, because they’re hoping that ‘success’ will rub off on them, and then they fall into the sunk cost fallacy. And worse, ‘if I act like him, I’ll be successful, too’, so they become insufferable cunts, but they can’t stop because that means they were wrong.

For the oligarchs, there’s no convincing them. The only solution was pioneered by Dr. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin. They can’t be swayed, because they’re parasites on society. We’re talking about money hoarders, who are the same as any other type of hoarder – they could have every penny ever made from the start of humanity until now (and Elon is so close to that it’s crazy) – more than could be spent in thousands of years. But it’s not enough. It’s pathological, but in this case, it’s actively hurting not just their immediate family but everyone on earth.

Think about it: what would you do if you had so much money, your descendents literally couldn’t spend it all in 1,000 years if they spent a million dollars every day after you died? Would you just sit on it and try to accrue more?

Most of us, I think, would try to end world hunger, or use the bulk of it in a way that would make a major positive effect on humanity. But look at what Musk is doing with it.

The first thing I would do is end world hunger. Then I would work on irrigation and clean water supply and sanitation. After that, would work on agricultural sustainability. Medical tech/supplying all their health clinics with oxygen and medically stabilizing medications including vaccines and establishing research facilities; training for healthcare professionals. Then I would move on to education for the young once their nutrition and health is established. This is not hard. It has been done in thousands of civilizations.

I have no doubt in my mind that the wealthy view the non-wealthy in the same way that an average person would view an ant. They may not hate it, but they don’t like it, and wouldn’t feel the slightest bit guilty killing one if it happens to be in their way, or killing thousands if they feel as though they’ve “infested” what they view as their property.

It is impossible for him to admit his economical genius moves has fucked the populace. He is literally screwed over the global and national economy.

I, for one, am buying nothing but essentials going forward. I do need work on my home but we will DIY the cheapest way possible and shop in the secondary local market. I will purchase secondhand first always. My millennial kid and his wife are doing the same. It is time for neighbors and communities to work together-- mutual aid.

My spouse and I are handy so can manage to most home improvements ourselves but the supplies/materials have drastically increased in price; still probably cheaper than hiring a contractor.

My friend needs to add another electrical service to her house and is kind of freaking out at the first quote. I told her to get some more quotes… then wait. If you are patient, you will see… the prices will actually go down as the collective absorbs the ridiculous tariffs/inflation for basic living.

The truth is, we are getting screwed. Consider that during the Great Depression and WW2, people learned to garden to feed themselves. Start your beds now if you have land/yard. If you don’t, consider the community gardens in your area. If there are not any now… start one. So long as we still have public lands, we have that opportunity. Additionally, there is such a thing as guerilla gardening where you dig in little seedpods in parks/and land that is neglected (medians, side roads, etc.). https://www.gardenstead.com/guerilla-gardening-the-search-for-nature-in-urban-cities/

Do not be afraid. Be motivated. (I was going to say be angry… but that is really a big waste of energy…) but being motivated and energized and proactive, calm, centered is way better. That is energy that can be maintained.

Anger energy is just a big spark and dies out. I know, y’all are pissed… hell, I am pissed too but it helps to restrain the amount of triggers you allow yourself to be exposed to because otherwise it is a big energy suck and depression invitation.

Just cling to your first principles and pursue them. The triggering bullshit will be deployed on a daily basis designed to drive you out of your mind… ignore it. Just keep to your first principles. Work to provide a resilient local economy, dig the ditches so to speak… You are not responsible for your whole city… just this part of your block, this one apartment building, these particular floors… this one floor and recruit more… maybe they have capacity for a floor… or half a floor and recruit another to handle the other half. Many hands make light work.

Have weekly meetings, have parties and celebrations. Gather, create some solidarity and create a union.

eta: Also do what you can to reduce any debt you have and avoid more. I think there will be changes to screw over credit card debt holders. Anyone who has a variable rate etc.

There are large financial bubbles over the AI and cybercurrency futures. Our dollar has been downgraded. The US has a human rights alert and tourism is going down. The WH has signaled their willingness to expose our SS funds to the stock market, cyber and other risky investments.

Our Congress has abandoned us. So be very frugal, careful and start teaching yourselves about finance/investments/savings/etc. There are books at the library and online resources. Remember 2007/2008

And never posted a redaction… WE DO NOT FORGET!

He’s such a POS that on Fred’s death bed he tried to get him to change his will because it didn’t benefit him the way he wanted and wanted everything! He’s a fucking sociopath and coward for letting our country turn into what it is… “Project 2025” and it is almost halfway completed now… for all the ICE abductions, they need to collect the Drumpf family, especially Melina! Send her sellout ass to El Salvador or better yet, Russia. Let her fight that war with Ukraine!

On November 23, 1933 The Nazi Party passed the Law against Dangerous and Habitual Criminals. This led to beggars, the homeless, alcoholics and the unemployed to be sent to concentration camps.
