Let’s just put this out there. If Iranian cells want to hurt Republicans? I won’t bat an eye. Just don’t hurt non-Republicans. You two can have it out.

He’s super nonchalant about it. This is how politicians actually feel when they know you’re struggling/suffering. There is no feeling.

Of course he is. The people at risk aren’t trump, or anyone that risks anything for trump or his family.

If Trump could press a button that would kill 10 million people, maim another 5 million, and make 50 million people go from middle class to abject poverty, in order to give him 10 billion $ and more power, he’d press that button without hesitation.

Total no brainer for him. And Americans are just letting get away with destroying democracy and destroying their freedom, and way of life, so HE can have more.

They seem upset, complain on social media, but do nothing. Not even boycotting. They just sit in their echo chambers. They dont organize. They don’t protest on congress’ front lawn, they hardly boycott, even after seeing it work for Kimmel.

The citizens of america are failing the world.

I hear what you are saying my friend… I(US citizen) am not happy with what is going on, but what can I really do to make a change? I vote, and other than that, I work 50-60 hours a week to try and support my family and try to teach them to be good and do the right things. I dont have the time or resources to go protest in Washington… Im working my ass off to suport my family. The system here sucks and was built by others before my time. Do you want me to grab my guns and go battle ICE/the government single handedly and leave my kids to fend for themselves? Im just trying to get by. I havent been to a doctor in decades because I cant afford it… I send my kids instead, because that is more important to me. So you can sit on the sideline and say I am doing nothing, but Im voting and hoping for the best, but I cant battle the government corruption single handedly while I am trying to keep my kids alive and healthy. Tell me what to do. PLEASE!!!

Being politically active is so much more than just voting. So many options to do more. You can write to your representatives or call them. You can donate to NGOs fighting for what you believe in. You can be vocal in your opinion on the internet or towards colleagues, friends and family. You can take part in demonstrations or even organise. And a lot of other options.

The mentality of “I vote, what more can I do” is so defeatist and a huge part of the reason why the political right wing can do what they do.

There are so many of you with this exact same sentiment on every comment related to this topic. Imagine what you could do if you were organised.

I don’t think any of us have the answer for you, aside from casually pointing out that 2A is meant for more than the classroom, and if none of you do anything you’ll be raising your kids in a fascist theocracy within the decade.

They’re actively fighting to get voter registry information. Why do you think that is?

The Reichstag fire (German: Reichstagsbrand, pronounced [ˈʁaɪçstaːksˌbʁant] ⓘ) was an arson attack on the Reichstag building, home of the German parliament in Berlin, on Monday, 27 February 1933, precisely four weeks after Adolf Hitler was sworn in as Chancellor of Germany. Marinus van der Lubbe, a Dutch council communist, was said to be the culprit; the Nazis attributed the fire to a group of Communist agitators, used it as a pretext to claim that Communists were plotting against the German government, and induced President Paul von Hindenburg to issue the Reichstag Fire Decree suspending civil liberties and pursue a “ruthless confrontation” with the Communists.[1] This made the fire pivotal in the establishment of Nazi rule in Germany.

On one hand this is unrealistic because it directly implicates Trump for starting this conflict and people are going to blame him and the administration for any kind of terrorism on US soil.

On the other hand, these are not very bright people, they are literally stupider than almost anyone typing on this website. They are only invulnerable because of money and connection.

Either way it’s not necessary, Trump’s base doesn’t know shit about shit, they’re glued to their TV’s listening to FOX and if the president said Iran conspired with Antifa and the Transes and blew up the entire statue of liberty and Mount Rushmore, the base would believe it and never question it even if you kidnapped them, dragged them to the sites and threw them off.

Trump is just trying to bring more people onto the side of supporting his illegal war on Iran by proposing an unrealistic risk of danger to the U.S.

I say he is preparing the people for an ‘act of terror by Iran’, meaning there is going to be a false flag incident. He can then use that to claim war powers and dismantle the last sliver of US-American democracy.

unrealistic risk of danger to the U.S.

      Bro…

Have you seen the people in charge of anti-terrorism?!

It’s a bigger miracle we haven’t had a serious attack in the last year than it was that not a single hurricane made landfall last year.

We can’t handle any type of disaster, and even routine shit are realistic risks of danger.

Risk of terrorist attack is sky high and it would likely be something huge that gets thru.

      But…

trump isn’t doing anything, he’s not driving the bus and hasn’t been for a while. The people who tell him what to do/say are trying to normalize American deaths to him.

And because he’s trump and he just repeats what people told him a second ago, that’s what he did when he went on camera.

He’s never concerned about something or trying to reassure anyone. Whatever he blabbers about is what people were saying to him moments ago.

the problem is that the reason the folks on US soil have such… douche hubris is because we’ve never got our teeth kicked in because there are a couple of oceans guarding us.

it is only temporary “unrealistic” a danger, Iran will figure it out and another 9/11 will happen and… queue up the enrollment and bootlicking country songs for 20 years.

All the while … profit, massive profit, is had.

Same with the religious spin ‘this is a holy war’ crap. If you frame this as god’s plan, then being against the war is being against said plan and god. This is an attempt to bring back the Republicans who naturally oppose this war.
