Ah my bad, I would’ve thought that was Great Value Tony Stark
Edit: Clover Valley Tony Stark would be the Dollar Store variety

It is for sure addictive, I don’t find it as malicious because of it’s decentralized nature, meaning that a TikTok style algorithm or the various ways Meta drives engagement isn’t present and would be nearly impossible to implement across all the instances and other Fediverse apps. It’s like if cigs ONLY made you smell bad and wouldn’t kill you, still gross and bad to be hooked, but not actively causing irreversible harm

We’ve been well past that time for quite a while, but the second best time is now.

If I got to watch the livestream of Cruz getting dragged away by ICE with a slow zoom in on his face I might actually die with a smile on mine

This is somehow both an insult to Tony Stark and Walmart. At least Walmart is just old fashioned business bastard evil and not, to my knowledge, apocalyptic techno-feudalist with immorality aspirations that belong in anime or comic books and a fucked up mannequin face
No shit, all social media is designed to keep user engaged and using the service

I mean if that doesnt provoke a civil war nothing ever will

I definitely get and feel similarly, and I guess this aint a bright spot but unless things change drastically and rapidly so there are very few places on the planet that will be able to serve as a refuge for the pain coming over the next few years. The best we can all hope for is that the US collapses rapidly before the technofeudalists and christofascists can further cement control

I had a roommate who never made a single contact in her phone for anyone, she would just answer any call and figured out who was texting from past bits of the conversation and what they sent. And it wasn’t a principled thing, she just didn’t see the convenience in saving contact info. Blew my fucking mind

The whole bullet gun fingerprint thing is total bullshit, but it’s not completely impossible to determine caliber depending on the size of the fragment which could rule out a specific firearm.
Edit: I dont fucking trust the forensic analyst either and the article stated there were few specifics. I agree with you but just wanted to point out that it is feasible to rule out some things

Obviously every piece of evidence against is valuable given the unjust world we live in, but I have to think for a moment about how crazy it would be for anyone not currently convinced of his crimes to see this and then suddenly change their mind

I’m sure there is an upper limit to the amount of humans that can live on the planet. I’m also sure that we’ll never reach that level because the wealth hoarders will have this planet uninhabitable before it occurs

Isn’t that a joke they made in Pineapple Express? “What sort of Asian!? Indian people are technically Asian!”

It’s for sure the biggest unforced error in US history, we won’t be able to be sure until everything shakes out but attacking Iran might be the biggest mistake in the history of geopolitics

Yep, the simplest crime is the most likely. That’s just people
The US military did a Tobias Funke “but maybe it’ll work for us”

Yeah the understanding at the time was that if your plane gets hijacked don’t do shit and eventually things will be fine. Post 9/11 someone trying to take over a plane is getting bum rushed. 9/11 could really only happen the one time
Edit: I’m sorry if a plane hits a building in the next two weeks
It feels like Iran is exposing the traditional US military as a bit of a paper tiger unless you count nukes. I’m sure I’m at least kinda wrong, but that’s the vibe I’m getting

Technically Elon did that I thought
Probably a more nuanced an accurate assessment, still better than Facebook though
