While there are plenty of other factors that got us here, one of the most prominent from my perspective is that the current slate of old people refuse to admit the world is moving on without them and are really resentful about it. I’m not expounding too much on how, but I know you’re correct. Costco is mildly better than other retailers to their warehouse staff, and even that is just done for the image/reputation which is where the real value in Costco exists.
