Hell I’m a millennial, and I bounce around music streaming services all the time. They all offer more or less the same thing, and overcharge like hell for it. Spotify will send me a trial for like $5 for 3 months or something, I’ll sign up and set a reminder to cancel in 3 months, Amazon music will send me something similar, I’ll do that, YouTube premium will send me an offer and I’ll go there. Worst case I’ll have to deal with shitty ads for a while in between offers, but I’d say 10/12 months a year I’ve got some kind of premium service going for a fraction of the advertised cost. I know that their goal is to get me hooked and paying monthly for their shit, but I’m on top of it enough to not ever let them. Fuck the shareholders. I’m looking out for me.

My wife recently had an issue where it was either an anaphylactic reaction or scombroid poisoning. They treated her at urgent care and prescribed an EpiPen in case it happened again. The pharmacy comes out and says sorry it’s $120. I know my wife has very good insurance so I had to fight with them, surely there’s a generic or something? Then they look into it and say well we have a different kind of one that this prescription covers that’s $5 but it expires in September. I’m like yeah, obviously I’ll take the one that’s 24x cheaper. Spirit was the fucking shit. I booked a round trip cross country flight day of for $160. I knew the get down, backpack, pack light. Anyone else would have been $500+ I also got bumped into their BIG seats on one flight and it was phenomenal. I have nothing but good things to say about them which people are always surprised to hear. All the major airlines have become Spirit anyways with the whole basic economy being a thing and charging for carry-ons. Everyone nickels and dimes you, at least Spirit had a low base price. I will miss them.
