Every time I hear sirens, I feel scare af, thinking its the gestapo.

I’m a naturalized citizen btw, but I still don’t feel safe (I’m not white).

Anyone who thinks that protesting will stop this is an idiot. Hypothetically, if you wanted to stop this, either you put on a FULL ON general strike, not 200,000 people, but 20 million. Or you go and get your guns, and start driving the fuck over to your state capitol, or better yet, the WH.

I mean 2 out of 4 believe the other 2 should be deported. 1 of those 2 don’t know that someone is trying to deport them. That’s the current state of America and how Trump got elected.

Since there are no rules and no due process 4 of 4 should be worried. If you think this isnt gonna escalate you are nuts.

Unless something happened it was always going to escalate. The question was ever only the cause and whether any side would meet that escalation with their own. I started asking something similar during Covid and was told people didn’t want to risk someone spitting on them. I said it again after January 6th and people replied that they didn’t want to be targets by some psycho. A year ago when this started to become clear I asked why we weren’t out on the streets reminding the DNC what we need and I got the same answer then I’ve gotten in the past: I can’t take off of work/I need to pay my bills.

So, my friends, is this enough yet?

You will need to keep that hand iced. Maybe splint at night. If the skin breaks, get an ACE wrap.

Sorry, that sounds like a possibly risky amount of slapping you’ve been up to lately, especially if you’ve been (like most of us) in a low or no-slap lifestyle up until now.

In general, the people ARE actually pretty progressive (as evidenced byprogressive policies tending to be favored by overwhelming majorities when not attached to the name of someone the establishment has spent millions if not billions vilifying).

The main problem is that the political system has fallen so deep into corruption that it’s a representative democracy in name only.

It’s way past time for rebellion against not just the fascists, but also the system itself and the Democrats who consider it more important than the general welfare of the people.

National elections are won by the over representation of land versus people and the winner-take-all electoral college.

It’s a very broken system but it’s the one we have. So yes, the people are progressive but land and the electoral college wins elections.

Both of those times were through an antiquated and unrepresentative system and with less than 50% the vote with low voter participation.

Less than a third of the eligible to vote population ≠ the country.

Well-meaning people pretending/being fooled into honestly believing that the presidential elections accurately reflect the will of the people without any trickery and downright fraud is how the corrupt demagoguery is allowed to persist.

No. Once again your blind trust in institutions leads you astray.

There are tens of millions of Americans for whom voting is made extremely difficult and time-consuming if not downright impossible to do by deliberate voter suppression tactics from (mostly but not exclusively) Republicans.

If there had been free, open, and fair elections, the GOP would never be able to win a nationwide election.

You don’t fix the system by assuming that it works as officially intended and blaming the powerless for the outcomes created by the powerful and corrupt.

Harris won more votes than Obama. Didn’t save her or the rest of the country.

Also, and this cannot fail to bare mentioning, Harris and Biden both campaigned on a policy of mass deportation. Dems are still bragging that they deported more people than Trump. Mass deportation is a bipartisan policy.

I have never seen a dem advertisement based on deportation.

To say “both sides” campaigned on a policy of mass deportation is a straight up lie. Mass deportation isn’t bi-partisan as you say… with zero proof no links and nothing to back up your bs… you offer no proof and are therefor a liar.
