If pigeon had a job to keep him occupied & stressed-out all day he could approach the evening plans like a normal person pigeon.

This is me any time I’m going somewhere. If I have to get on a plane at 1PM, I’m arriving in the airport at 9AM at the latest. Otherwise, I just feel increasingly anxious the longer I wait. I’d rather spend three and a half hours sitting in a terminal than be stressing out about whether I’m going to make it in time.

This is me. Last time I was so early there was another flight, going to the same place I was, getting ready to board. On a whim I asked if I could switch to that one since I was there already, and managed to get a seat. I was home before my original flight even took off lol.

Ditto! All it takes is one trip where unforseen complications cause you to miss a flight!

This, but with an extra step where I start preparing 5 minutes too late, can’t find shit, and then end up having to hurry so I arrive sweaty ans barely on time or too late

Life hack: forbid yourself from checking the time on the way there. That way you won’t be able to keep checking to make sure you’ll be there on time (and hurrying as a consequence), and it’ll force you to set off long enough in advance.

Exactly my first thought. Plus it’s especially weird on a bird where the eyes are on either side of the head normally

This is why I try and get all my medical appointments in the morning. Less time my body forces me into ‘wait mode’

You do you, then. If your boss is ok with you being late regularly, it’d be a job to keep. Mine had a 3 strikes your out system

Portable gaming is perfect for this.
You fully prepare and even travel to the thing and then you can set an alarm and play games while in limbo until the start time.

I did this with my Steam Deck last week (or was it two weeks ago…).
