Gardetto’s is superior to Chex Mix anyway, but this puts them over the top.

    This… Actually exists.

Not by Chex, but Gardetto. They’re rye chips. I get that one all the time because, yeah; the rye chips are the only good thing in those mixes 🤣

Maybe controversial, but despite the rye chips being far and away my favorite part of Gardettos, I actually prefer the mix because then the rye chips are that much tastier when you hit one.

Or maybe its the same kind of illness/cope that causes me to say things like “I actually enjoy living in the midwest, where we get to experience all 4 seasons, versus someplace that’s pleasant and warm all year”

Nah you’re right on both points, though I think both alternatives have their merits. I can enjoy the occasional bag of rye chips as a special treat. And I can enjoy the PNW months of rain instead of winter

I visited part of California when it was 62F outside. People complained about how cold it was. There were people wearing jackets.

There is no weather option that will keep you permanently happy, it is more reliable to learn to love what you have.

it’s under 60F right now, i’m in california, and half of us are changed into our “winter” wear (think light fall elsewhere). The rest of us are still in short sleeves and sandals.

I understand what you’re saying. I lived in a place that has all 4 seasons. I understand the hassles of snow in winter and unbearable heat in summer without ac

I’ve since moved somewhere more temperate and I miss the 4 seasons. It’s wet, cold and wet, warm and wet, or hot and dry, interspersed with short periods of really nice weather. It’s not warm and pleasant all the time, but I’d be hard pressed to give up storms. Here, no thunderstorms. And if we get them they’re completely obfuscated by clouds (our clouds sit really low)

I was visiting family recently and got to experience an absolutely magnificent storm and I was so incredibly happy. The last storm I saw like that was from when I visited Disney World a while ago

From this video I caught https://files.catbox.moe/8722ra.mp4

I wasn’t even thinking about thunderstorms, but you’re right, I would totally miss them! My dogs hate them, but I love a good rumbly light show on a hot summer night, and the cool air that (usually) follows.

Every Midwesterner in the pnw laments the sky not trying to kill us here. It’s lovely and I love it here, but the storms that feel like the end of the world are beautiful and wonderful

Lightning and distant clouds are the only thing I miss about living in the flat Midwest.

Mountains and blizzards are a good trade off though. We get thunderstorms too, but if you see a lightning bolt, you’re probably in danger of either dying or frying some of the electronics in your home. And your ears will be ringing.

Not knowing what I’m looking at, this is a rather confusing post. I’m guessing these are not just off-color potato chips, since those do tend to be round…

It’s based on the snack, Chex Mix. Chex Mix is made of pieces with several different consistencies, like salty Chex, mini pretzels, mini breadsticks (small oblong cracker things), and rye chips (the round things).

The rye chip part of Chex Mix is really popular.

It’s certainly eclectic. The other comments will make it more clear. Suffice to say, this and other “party mix” style snacks have one particular bit that stands out amongst the rest.

They have to mix it all together then remove the bagel chips and bag them separately to get the correct flavoring.
