I know quite a few professionals that use GIMP and Inkscape just so they arent locked into the adobe ecosystem and monthly/yearly fees.
No quams with wayland or rust, but snap packages, those things annoy me greatly.

If you are talking about secure boot then use a linux distro that is signed like Ubuntu/Kubuntu, then you can leave it on for Windows to work properly and linux will boot without a problem.

Bloated container format that has many issues running software, somehow ignores system settings when it wants to and has a propriatary backend controlled by Canonical. Flatpaks are much better imo.
