my front left burner is the small one, which i need less. in reality, everyone just prefers the largest front burner on whatever range they currently have. that’s it. that’s all it is.
Blasphemous tripe! front right is better and you can never change my mind!
Quality shitpost for once. I need to fight by your side.
My front left is a simmer burner, while my front right is a quickboil. Of those, right quickboil wins for sure.
However, my long middle burner is for a cast iron griddle, so I can make grilled cheese and pancakes without a pan. That burner wins, hands down.
Edit: looks almost just like this one, but mine isnt a GE, and my griddle has a liquid collection area on one side.

I had that same stove at a rental and almost signed another year just for that dope ass stove LMAO love the center griddle
Liquid collection area??
Yeah like a small depression for grease or liquids that seep from whatever you cook, so it doesn’t drip off the side or pool under your food and ruin the texture.

Ah ok that’s so much better than it sounded, thanks!
Where all the juices slorp off to so chef can have a little lap-lap-lap if they’re getting a bit tired.
Boak
Mmm seared tongue. Delicious.
Yeah they put quick boil on my right. Easy win. My left I’ve noticed takes a lot more time to get to temp
You can have my spatula.
And my tongs!
And my mini meat axe!
You carry the fate of us all, little one. If this is indeed the will of the comment chain, then the fediverse will see it done.

Front Right is King, it’s where The Pan lives. The Pan is the heart of the meal. I am The Man I Am because of The Pan!
Agreed, my combustion compatriot.
Front right you fucking small time chump.
Tbf I only say this because my shitty apartment stove only has one large burner and it’s the front right.
Our stove functionally has 2 ( front right and back left ) but back left is inconvenient if we ain’t just putting something on to sit on its own. So we basically only have one in my eyes. So much more work to use it thanks to the oven controlls that I’ll often switch to using front left despite it being too small for the pot/pan.
Complete insanity, see me on the front right
I use front right. It is the superior side.
Ok… but why are we invading Poland now?
I said front-right not alt-right. I may be odd but i’m not a monster.
I know, but reading right, front and superior on a sane comment felt funny
Dont say words you cant take back
sorry, bud. that’s the high power position on my stove
I’m not happy with it, either. but it’s what it is.
if it makes you feel any better, the front left is the large diameter position. similar power but not packed as densely, so doesn’t work on a 10" pan
We’ll let this slide
Front right all the way! Probably my preference because I’m left-handed, but also my front left burner doesn’t even work.
My partner is neurospicy and uses the front left.
I didn’t really care about which burner until I saw their range, and they’re quite oddly shaped.
Front right is just massive, back right is tiny, front left is normal and then back left is some weird in-between the normal and giant front right fob.
I have absolutely no idea who designed that stove, maybe it was data mined or something
But needless to say, the front left it was
My front right is the smallest one so it never gets used because it’s useless. Unless you are just trying to keep something warm then it can work
Paranoid parent gang uses the rear burners for safety!!
Dont make this a turf war
Hell yes! Back left gang! Stops any fat splashes if you’re frying, too. Love my back left burner.
Kids learn real quick when they mess with the stove. If you hide it from them, how will they ever learn?

Dont mess with this kid

Definitely growing up to be a cop.
I loled, but also a child learning that things on the stove are hot after you tell them this and they don’t believe you is different from intentional violence against them
Oh I was fully jesting. I’ve a heap of kids and would never hit them.
Burnt child flees fire, as we say in sweden (bränt barn skyr elden).
Back right burner so the steam and fumes have more of a chance to get whooshed into the extractor fan
With those puny rear burners?!
Front-right rules …… because that’s the big one, with MOAH POWAH!!!
FRONT RIGHT SUPREMACY!!!
always!
Fascist.
get electrical, motherfucker
Why cook at all if you’re going to willingly give up the pleasure of using fire the way our ancestors did since before they were even human? You might as well just suck nutritive slurry from a nozzle.
using fire the way our ancestors did
Motherfucker, your ancestors didn’t have natural gas lines that could be ignited with the flick of a switch.
If you want to use fire the way our ancestors did, you need to start by going outside, digging a hole, and then gathering firewood. If you’re not doing that, then fuck off with this ‘ancestors’ bullshit.
I do it like the real gangsters and burn dried cow poop to cook over
I am using fire. The fire of a raging ball of plasma millions of miles wide, so hot that it evaporates surface water here on Earth, sending rains falling inland that coalesce into a mighty river flowing through massive turbines to turn the generators that power my stovetop.
My parents, grandparents, and maybe my great grandparents used gas. All my other ancestors used wood. I cook with the power of science on my induction range because I’d rather not drown in carcinogens in my own home for the sake of boiling a pot of water and I’m not a fucking troglodyte.
Electrical is both inferior and superior to gas, depending on the application. To each their own according to preference, but for me it’s induction -> gas -> halogen -> resistive coils
Front left is for the frying pans (stir fries and saucy stuff).
Front right is for the small pots (rice, noodles).
Back right is for the large pots (stews, soups).
And back left is to put down the lids while cooking.
This is my method. This guy cooks.
Nope, not me. The knob for my front left burner (Electric stovetop) inexplicably has to be pressed in after being brought back to zero to actually turn off. It doesn’t have to be pressed in to turn on, and none of the knobs for the other burners have to be pressed for anything, just the front left one to turn it off. Literally everyone in the house has burned themselves because of this hidden discrepancy at least once. We do not use the front left burner.
The front left burner has rejected you and your heretic family
Upgrade to an induction stovetop and the issue disappears.
I’ll tell my landlord to get right on that!
Break the gad one so it looks like it failed on its own. Then convince the landlord that longterm the induction is better and he should install that. You can get them for quite cheap nowadays.
He’s got standard models he buys to replace everything so that all of his apartments have the same appliances. I’ve tried to get him to upgrade when he’s replaced dishwashers and washing machines, no dice. He’s usually got an appliance on deck ready to go to replace the next one that dies in one of his units. Which honestly is more prepared than any other landlord I’ve met so hard to complain, but even harder to get him to upgrade.
I’ve got a home purchase in my near future, that’s the real solution to this problem.
Yeah props for preparedness but yeah that sucks. Convince him to start stocking new stuff so it slowly gets replaced
Mostly because induction stove tops, except at the most expensive price point, don’t have knobs, only touch panels. Also, they usually turn themselves off if they don’t detect something they can induce a current in. But really though, despite the lack of knobs, I love my induction range and would never willingly go back to conventional or gas for my kitchen.
Luv me 'duction 'ob. Ate tuchscreen. Simple as.
Also, they usually turn themselves off if they don’t detect something they can induce a current in
Yeah that is what I meant. Lack of knobs can be annoying but it’s so much easier to clean.
But induction also leaves you no choice on burner supremacy. Why do they all have weird non-grid burner arrangements and only one large burner?
My front-right is supreme because it’s the only large one. Even if I secretly joined the front-left ascendancy
And that tiny summer burner behind it is unusable because the tiny pot would disappear behind the larger one
The front right is tiny and weak. My soup merely laughs at the thought, however front left is sacred and all consuming. Shall I simply warm or buuuuuuuuuuuurn.
Front left determines thy fate.
‘Rotate to a different burner each time’ crew assemble, handles in
Front right!
