If a septum piercing is done correctly (and you have average anatomy), it shouldn’t be very painful and doesn’t touch any bone/hard cartilage because there’s what’s called a “sweet spot” inside your nose underneath the hard cartilage that’s thin and soft that the piercing should go through.
I dislike septum peircings because I just think of it going back and forth while rubbing on bone. Kind of like nails on chalk board except in my nose.
