Dude it’s so bad. This is going to sound weird but it’s almost like a subculture or genre can become inbred when the only people creating anything are the same people whose lives are shaped by the thing they’re creating. Like porn would be better if it was just made by people who have other lives outside of it.
I can’t help but feel at one time most people didn’t seek out that but over time it’s slowly become all that there is. And you’re right, this is all putting aside just how exploitative and abusive the producers and film makers are
