I assume these idiots are only making noise about “protecting women” now because it’s code for “eliminate trans people”.

Hanging with extended family some this weekend and a MAGA cousin I usually avoid interacting with mentioned how “neuroplasticity” is what enables Republicans to hold two contradicting positions at once. I am in awe at how simple and stupid his solution is to the cognitive dissonance. Don’t try to resolve it, just slap a multi-syllable science word on it and be proud of it.

Maybe they think that neuroplasticity comes from excess microplastics in the brain …

The funny thing about that is that there has been one study that shows conservatives (especially conservative men) have an enlarged amygdala compared to other people, the amygdala being the part of the brain that handles primitive responses, namely fear driven responses.

And there’s been another study that linked brain damage to having conservative, rigid views. Which explains all the right wing MMA fighters and rugby players.

One of the most important things a therapist ever told me was “contradictions are allowed to exist”. My degree is in mathematics so this was genuinely a controversial statement and it took me a while to actually internalize it. While I think the cousin in question is a dumbass cause MAGA, he’s actually onto something.

I dislike that phrase, “at all costs.”

Ok: To protect these two women, you must murder millions of people.

According to the phrase, that’s just the cost.

It’s also annoying in a semantic way.

“At all costs” sounds like it’s saying to take every sacrifice possible, even if not every cost is needed.

“At any cost” sounds better, because it’s saying something is important enough for whatever cost is necessary, but don’t make sacrifices that aren’t needed.

Wait, he’s a black far right republican? Wtf? The transgender might be a stunt to be anti-transgender.

Second, he actually did get a 50 year restraining order because his wife was so in fear of him. Maybe they should look into why she’s in fear? This sounds like assault and/or attempted murder. It’s not just her, but their son as well.

I’m not sure about this source though: https://www.minnpost.com/glean/2026/04/royce-white-senate-candidate-under-protective-order-threats-exwife-minnesota-senate-republican/

In court filings, White is accused of making numerous threats and being both physically and verbally abusive toward his former partner and their teenaged son. He refutes the allegations and is appealing judicial findings in the case, telling MPR News on Thursday the order is a “substantial miscarriage of justice” and “excessively punitive.”

      Seems simple enough

It doesn’t sound like they’re prosecuting him, but that she has to go after him herself? I might be reading it wrong, but that’s what I’m getting from all of the articles with unknown sources.

It’s a blonde wig. He’s a washed up NBA player trying to make money pandering to the Fox News crowd by pretending he’s transitioning to play in the WNBA.

He has physically and verbally abused his wife and kids. He washed out of NBA and European leagues for being inconsistent, unreliable, and dramatic. He’s said he’ll run for president in 2028. Exactly what you would expect from a Republican “protector” of women.

“Washed up NBA player” might be too generous. He had potential but he clearly had mental issues that made it impossible to be in the league. So, he lashed out at everyone.

He played 10 minutes total and had two fouls, and no points, blocks, 3 pointers, steals… or anything else in his entire time playing in the NBA. You and I are better players then him, as our statline matches his, but without the two fouls.
