Disguising the headwear in the second panel was a crafty choice
Thank you for the explanation. I thought he got in trouble for looking towards her boobs when there was an attention-grabbing necklace there and it totally wasn’t his fault for looking at all.
You didn’t even need that, technically both Christians and Jews aren’t supposed to eat shrimp. Most Christian sects excuse it away in interesting ways but still you’re not supposed to.
Leviticus 11:9-11:
You may eat anything that lives in the water—that is, you may eat anything that has fins and scales either from the seas or from the rivers. But anything that doesn’t have fins or scales—whether from the seas or the rivers—any of the swarming creatures and living creatures in the waters are detestable for you. They are to remain detestable for you. You are not to eat of their meat and you are to detest their carcasses.
Do any Christian sects actually not eat shellfish? I thought the joke was that he liked her other than that
The lobster werewolf man is wearing a yarmulke
I have no idea how I missed the yarmulke, lmao. Somehow I read it as part of his shell
I missed the yarmulke as well and the comic still made sense
I’ll also point out that the Torah and The Old Testament are largely same thing
it’s disguised as a truck tire in the second panel!
the one i was in doesn’t eat shellfish or pork, but they’re somehow ok with wearing clothes with mixed fibers???
cant even read their own damn book
didn’t jesus literally multiply fish once or something lol?
Fish have fins and scales, so they are kosher.
I love the old guy’s PBF hat in the last panel 😂
Pabst Blue Fibbon
He definitely not kosher
Lobsterman holding out for some real gazoongas
Jews and Christians are perfectly compatible with very minor lifestyle adjustments and both of them look old enough to not care about disappointing their parents.
I wouldn’t call my foreskin a minor adjustment!
I’m pretty sure that’s the point of the comic. He is a cartoonishly specific type that this woman is looking for, even the absurd aspect of him having a lobster head that we are shown most people do not have (obviously), and he discards her as a prospect over potentially superficial differences in religious belief.
Playing dangerous games if you are a literal believer. I’ve heard of it working, but it certainly doesn’t seem to be the norm
I mean, yeah, but if he wants to raise kids in Judaism, she’d have to convert. It’s not an… insurmountable hill, I have family friends like that, but it does certainly make it tough.
I think it’s probably the “smart” in the ad and she’s Christian.
Look at his headwear.
Then why do I see so many clips of jews spitting on christians?
because there are bad people in every group
Why not, Zoidberg?
