So, our tax dollars going to feed the poor or ensuring everyone has quality health care is unfair to the tax payer…but the ball room that benefits no one but the president is completely fair? It’s almost like MAGA’s entire worldview isn’t consistent at all and is just hyper racist and partisan. Just a thought

We revolt once someone says, “fuck it, fine. I will revolt.” (Remembers Luigi) Or, well damn. I guess when enough people… (Remembers that MAGA was technically a revolt) nevermind.

In 1776 there was a revolution because Americans were being asked to pay a few pennies in tax.

Fast forward 250 years and I’m wondering whether you guys would have been better off just staying part of Britain.

And that’s not even factoring in the $300 million Trump’s just going to pocket. So lets just call it an even $900 million.

While I fully disagree with the entire project, any White House construction should be fully funded by the public. It’s the People’s House and inviting private money is inviting corruption.

It would be great if your tax forms had a section at the end with check boxes/scantrom bubbles where you were able to select what your taxes were allowed to be spent on. I’m genuinely curious how that would pan out. Like I would put all of mine towards education and public works etc. None to war or surveillance tech or any of this shit.

Theoretically that’s what the point of representatives is, government officials selected by the people to decide laws and where/how money is spent. Obviously a lot is left to be desired in practice.

Taxes, taxes again (through tariffs), bonds (being sold at ever increasing yield rates), and printing probably. Inflation’s gonna hurt so much more soon.
