      Most conflicts have backstories. You are perfectly correct to state that the war started in 2014, but with the massive escalation in 2022 you could also state that the war started in 2022. Depends on how you look at it really. Ask anyone in the Donbas region and they’d probably agree with your take.

        Colloquially I think the distinction is the war started in 2014, but became full invasion in 2022.

    Wow, interesting to get a temporal feel for how long The Great War lasted. Lucky them that it ended sooner than this bullshit.
