minus-squareDeceptichum@quokk.aulinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5arrow-down2·2 days agoHaven’t seen many sexist comics, have seen a fuckload of sexist comments however.
minus-squareFishFace@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up16arrow-down9·3 days agoDoesn’t really seem sexist to me: the man has misunderstood the situation and thinks the woman is interested in him. The woman has misunderstood the situation and thinks the man is likely to be aggressive. It’s kind of symmetrical in that way.
minus-squareTattorack@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up17arrow-down6·2 days agoExcept it’s yet another comic that has been posted here that is about how women fear/must fear men.
minus-squareFishFace@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up19arrow-down8·2 days agoWomen do fear men; commenting on that isn’t (automatically) sexist. The comic isn’t saying women should fear men because there’s nothing to suggest the man is predatory.
minus-squareTattorack@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down4·2 days ago Women do fear men This is sexism. Try using the arguments that justify this on ethnic groups and you’d be called racist.
minus-squareFishFace@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4arrow-down2·2 days agoIt’s not sexist to acknowledge or talk about it though. This comic isn’t advocating sexism. The comic itself is not sexist; it features sexism.
minus-squareTattorack@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down4·2 days agoThis comic invents a situation that basically doesn’t happen and generalises men. This comic is itself sexist.
minus-squareFishFace@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4arrow-down3·2 days agoThe fact that you think that a comic about one man is generalising men is where you need to correct your thinking.

minus-squareAqarius@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3arrow-down3·2 days agoWell, it is, once again, a brand new account that just posts comics and barely comments.
