That is a lot of effort to say that you don’t care…
The number of .gov email address found in janitor section of the DB dump when the site was hacked not too long ago perhaps.
His Divine shadow.
Edit: spelling
Some people want to watch the world burn.
In order to improve your accuracy might I suggest:
alias i='sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /'
alias s='sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /'
alias sl='sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /'
alias ll='sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /'

Etcetera. It will make sure you are punished for typos
Hack the planet!
You would think they would start with an easier one like “heil Hitler” being antisemitic, but they seem perfectly okay with that one.
Underrated comment.

My company uses a VPN where the client is so slow inside the VM it is functionally useless. 99%of the time I can still get away with it because my connection amounts to a couple of telnet sessions, but when I actually need data or a spreadsheet or something transferred local, I need to fire up windows directly to snag it.
Sonicwall has a VPN client that will run fine on Linux (or so they say), but the company won’t switch over to it. And sonicwall considers the windows only version eol and won’t add a Linux version
I got tired of windows updates breaking my dual boot. After some research I found that it’s possible to have two uefi partitions: one for windows and one for Linux. It’s not standard but there is nothing expressly written into the efi spec that prohibits it. And it just works. My bios doesn’t care, and works with them both just fine.
I only use Windows for that 1% of business stuff I can’t accomplish in a vm under windows. Invariably after I boot into widows once ever 3 months it installs so.e update and would kill my ability to boot into Linux. Since setting up 2 partitions I haven’t had this problem.
The best advice I got was to periodically delete your current account and create a new one. Then remove any association you have with the old account: history, password managers, etc. Yes, that accounts comments may live on for ever in some archive, but removing your association with it goes a long way towards plausible deniability. If your super paranoid only access Lemmy through tor going forward.
Should be chick peas/garbanzo. It’s called aquafaba and can be used as a replacement for egg whites in various alcoholic beverages.
I only hear this in orson Wells Maurice LaMarche’s The Brain’s voice.
Ahh sorry. Again, I don’t use an iPhone.
I don’t have an iPhone but my daughter does.
For music I don’t sync anything to her phone. I run a navidrome server and set up an account so she can stream whatever she wants whenever. I think she uses isub as her streaming app. It does allow you to download and cache files from the server to play if you are offline
As for sms, I don’t know of any way to sync in Linux, but if you use Windows, the phone link app works, as several of my coworkers have set it up. I know it installs some piece of software on the iPhone you want to sync to, maybe you could do that and try running the phone link program with wine?
I also know kde connect has a link for iOS. It’s not perfect but it will do the sms linking thing.
Afaik the presidential powers to enact tariffs is limited. Congress is in charge of the budget and are the only ones allowed to set permanent tariffs. He is only getting away with what he is doing because he keeps making up phony emergency reasons why we need them, i.e. the bogus Canadian fentanyl story. The idiots in Congress have already given up so many of their duties to the executive branch it’s doubtful they can recapture them. Until members of Congress decide to call him out on his bullshit he will keep getting away with it despite what any of them say publicly… And we all know that his boot lickers will never do that.
Loops.video maybe?
How long until we deploy troops to Russia to help in their invasion of the Ukraine?
My boss, who as far as I can tell, still supports Trump, but is getting super pissed off. One of our suppliers in Canada wrote us a very earnest letter in mid January about how the upcoming tariffs were probably going to destroy his business, but he still wanted to be there to provide is excellent made in Canada parts. He said he would be forced to raise costs 25 percent on February 2nd. My boss got worried and put in 40-50 grand worth or orders that day to several of our Canadian suppliers, just for the Feb 2 to some around and Trump to say “sike!”. Now he is pissed that Trump is going to the Superbowl “how much is it going to cost us in taxes?”. His decisions to support trump are biting him where it really hurts: his wallet. It’s hard for me to remove the grin from my face.
