making the left distrust or be uninterested about voting is a far right psy ops to literally make their opponents not vote.

Left or right politics forcing voters to choose between two sides and ultimately become single issue voters is a deep state psy op to literally make everyone hate politics and allow oligarchical control.

Okay but the two-party FPTP system is a separate issue that we can’t immediately fix right now. The immediate issue that’s right in front of us today is whether we put up road blocks to resist fascism, or whether we tear out the few road blocks that are left.

So for someone to sit on the sidelines and say “it doesn’t matter either way because I disagree with the binary nature of the dichotomy on a matter of principle” is simply asinine.

Psy Op worked. Show me on the dotted line where the Democratic Party has acknowledged tackling and replacing the first past the post system in a serious manner? I still vote, because yes what else is there to do, but that’s the beauty of the psy op. You feel like you’re participating, but it’s just a show :)

So your answer is to let them win on voting instead of fighting on every front available to you?

Nope. I voted. I’m just being realistic about the psy op; My vote even for shit candidates in a non representative first past the post system serves as part of my protest.

I’m glad to hear it. Most users I see here echoing your frustrations push the “don’t vote” rhetoric. I agree votes can and should be more valuable, but even a little bit of value can accumulate enough to make some change, like the US is seeing tonight. Thanks for doing your part.

Yeah. It’s disheartening to see those who don’t vote or argue for not voting. I might not believe our current system is good, but I can’t be arsed to ask anyone to help fix it if I don’t do the basics to participate. One of the first things I’d ask of a representative government is opt out automatic voter enrollment combined with ranked choice voting, I believe we sorely need it.

making the left distrust guns is far right psy ops to literally make their opponents vote on bourgeoisie parties instead of taking the means of production
