Came to say the same. Wouldn’t marry an American Republican or an American Democrat. Both are nutjobs and evil and bought by AIPAC

i think you are confused, the DNC suports AIPAC, the individual voters dont support israel in general, at leas tmost of them. REPUBLICANS are far more repulsively as a person though.

Not confused and I wasn’t born yesterday. Yes DNC voters now are moderately anti Israel. But for the last 7 decades they were not. I’m old enough to remember their consistent full-chested support for Israeli apartheid decade after decade after decade through intifadas and land seizures and expulsions and multiple bloody invasions of Gaza.

FPTP voting will only ever allow for 2 dominant parties. Fix the archaic and barely democratic voting system, before speaking about third parties.

I agree! We need RCV. If we constitutionally outlaw lobbying and establish RCV, I think this democracy can stand.

Otherwise, I think it will fall before I am out of years, at least to the point of no longer having hope of being restored via efforts from within the system.

          So, hear me out:

A third party will not win in the current system. Voting for them is nice in sentiment, but it amounts to apathy instead of choosing the lesser of the actually available evils (the Democratic Party in the USA).

I would love a multipartisan government, but that only happens if we either send percentages of votes to parties like some nations do, or implement ranked-choice voting.

Until RCV, we need to choose the lesser evil and hope to get it instituted through them (perhaps via the DSA Democrats/Independents or via referendum).

I’m a democratic socialist myself. E.g., Bernie Sanders, Zohran Mamdani, or AOC.

hear me out, 5% of votes for a third party (which almost happened for Ross Perot in the 90s) would guarantee a national platform for that party. also, i don’t care for excuses, you do you.
