I don’t think I ever saw one full full-size photo for the first few years I was online. Porn sites were a experience. I would load the first 1/6th of the image and be done. The rest was up to the imagination. I was basically a crude LLM where I had to generate the rest of the image with minimal input.

I remember when there really weren’t images because those were too slow to load.
Images loading pixel by pixel, line by line, took ages. I don’t think I ever saw one full full-size photo for the first few years I was online.
