Donald Trump’s administration is planning to spend $4 million to bolster right-wing media in Europe, part of a package of at least $25 million for civil society groups working on conservative causes in the region, according to four people familiar with the funding.
The grants risk deepening tensions between the Trump administration and European governments, some of which have already accused Washington of interfering in their domestic politics.
The U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) says the funding is meant to strengthen transatlantic ties and promote free speech. It comes as European countries prepare for elections over the next couple of years, and as the Trump administration openly backs Europe’s populist right-wing and far-right parties.

Lol $4 million. Good luck getting literally anything done in that space with such a small amount.
like an iceberg, what you can see (the $4m) is just a tiny part.
funny, I was told that $100K of Facebook ads are the only reason that Hillary lost in 2016.
Of course, that just begs the question of why aren’t liberals hiring these magic Russian ad men themselves
2015 was a very different time. Russia truly got its money’s worth.
Don’t know where $100k is coming from. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were misrepresenting the situation.
I’ll base it on Mueller’s report over some questionable shit from RT.
Go actually read Mueller’s report, it’s obvious you haven’t.
Isn’t it the best that you just need to say something like this and it means you won, regardless of what the report itself actually says.
Yes I’ve read it, and yes I know what is in it. It’s not my job to go through and explain it to you.
Like people, Russians, literally went to prison behind that shit. Yes, nothing happened to Trump, but thirty four Russians and three Russian companies were indicted.
dude, READ THE REPORT.
It’s obvious you haven’t.
As for people “literally went to prison” - in EVERY case, the people tried were for obstruction. Not conspiracy, but because they didn’t properly assist with the investigation, or tried to hide facts.
As for Russian indicted - and? None were ever brought to trial, none were ever convicted. The charges were again mostly obstruction, with some money laundering - which in a sanctioned country like Russia can mean many things.

The usual claim of Russiagate conspiracy theories. Later revised down to 46K by the Mueller Report. Which again, it’s apparent you haven’t read.
And, to the original point, most of those went out AFTER the election. So it doesn’t seem Russia got their money’s worth.
