I don’t understand what you mean. I don’t have to click on anything to have it show up in my feed, and because I’m not subscribed to too many things here, just comics and a few other places, this hits my “feed” and stays there. I don’t have to click anything.
If you hadn’t clicked on it we wouldn’t be talking. So next time I suggest you follow your own advice and not click on things you don’t want to engage in.
I agree, it’s very stupid to think the world needs to cater to you and your tastes. It’s very stupid to bitch about other people liking things that you don’t and not just moving on with your life.
No idea. I use Mlem for iOS, which does have it. But it’s something to consider. Otherwise, I would suggest just grumbling under your breath and scrolling past (I do that too sometimes). 🤷♂️
As I said, I don’t have the same algorithmic scroll that reddit has. It simply doesn’t work that way. If nothing else is coming up, I just get the last post… which for an hour happened to be this crappy comic.
You’re missing my point. Coming into the comments to complain about a perfectly legit comic, regardless of your feelings for a poster or the posted, does nobody any good. You can:
Block the poster,
Block the community,
Hide it (if you use an app that supports it),
Filter out specific keywords (assuming the poster is thoughtful enough to provide them),
Downvote and move on, or
Do nothing and live with it.
I was hoping to avoid the list, but here we are. 😊

Ok but like, they were asking how to block it. They want to not engage. Can you not understand that
You don’t engage by scrolling past. Again pathetically easy to do.
This is a stupid argument.

They’re trying to curate their feed, not yours.
Yes, there’s some assholes in the comments, but I think you’re going off on the wrong person here

No I’m perfectly happy going off on this person. Dude tells on himself pretty hard.
I don’t care what you like, I just asked how I can block it for myself. You do you, mate.
Yeah i clicked this and it was a jumpscare, no pizzacake warning
How was i supposed to know it was a pizzacake comic before i clicked on it
That wasn’t the point of conversation. Please work on your reading comprehension.
Some apps have the ability to hide posts. That’s been a lifesaver for me when I see content I don’t like on subs I enjoy.
Not sure if boost has that. Still trying to get my legs here.
It does. in the post, go to : “…” menu, “about user”, then “block user”.

Thanks for the list. Just so there’s no misunderstanding in the future, am I allowed to complain?
If you keep it civil, and respectful, sure. 👍
Sweet.
