They have an obsession with strength. As someone who isn’t competitive, I don’t really care. A lot on the right are deeply insecure. What I do is turn it around and go for the jugular-- psychoanalyse them. You go far deeper under their skin and they will be madder than they hope you would be by their own trolling.
