I’m not so sure, republicans love throwing an occasional patsy into the volcano during election season so they can shift blame and consolidate voting blocks. Rfk was brought in only to consolidate voting blocks. Trump is in control of MAHA loons now, he doesn’t need rfk. He LOVES to pretend to care about children’s health and wants very badly to “solve” autism, so I can easily see him replacing rfk with like Joe Rogan or someone even dumber.

He wasn’t a contender last time he ran, he did so specifically because Trump needed the extremist “health” conspiracy type people to win his election, and Trump promised rfk an important position if he dropped out and backed trump. It’s a very common move among power and money seekers to run if they think they can gain at least a few percentage points of the electorate. That means they can swing elections either way, especially in today’s environment where most critical elections come down to a few percentage points, and more and more commonly a few votes on the local level.

These monsters all think they are great.

I fully expect them all to compete for the role once Trump moved on.

True. We don’t usually see “criminal probe”, and a call for ouster. Just an inquiry or a hearing.

The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.

That’s my bet with my friends made about a year ago. I bet not one of the fuckers from rump’s cabinet or rump himself will face any consequences within 10 years…9 years now. I want to pay my friends money. Fuck.

I don’t know if he lied, I never hear what he says because as soon as he opens his mouth I hear nails over a chalkboard and I turn off what I was watching to prevent my ears from bleeding.

If lying to the senate was a thing that mattered this entire administration would be in prison already.

That guy lies pretty much every time he moves his mouth. Also, killing children is pretty much the natural outcome of conservative beliefs and policies.

Just about all of these quacks who made it to adulthood to spout this nonsense did have their vaccines.

They just have massive amounts of cognitive dissonance on their side.

Semi-related, how did those nurses mix up muscle relaxer with an MMR vaccine? Do we have info about how this measles outbreak in Samoa started?

how did those nurses mix up muscle relaxer with an MMR vaccine?

Maybe similar containers and exhausted nurses?

After the second victim died nurse Luse Tauvale went to the rubbish to check the vaccine bottle and when finding it was Attracurium, she put it in a plastic bag and took it home.

      I can’t imagine their pain:

The parents of both the infants broke down after the sentencing but told local reporters they have forgiven the two nurses.

      https://www.1news.co.nz/2019/08/02/nurses-sentenced-to-five-years-in-prison-for-incorrectly-administering-mmr-vaccine-that-led-to-deaths-of-two-infants-in-samoa/

Do we have info about how this measles outbreak in Samoa started?

      We have a reasonable guess:

New Zealand’s next outbreak would be the biggest yet.

Taking off in February, just 10 months ago, this would see the country shaken by a resurgence of such severity that, by the time of Samoa’s two-day lockdown, it would total more than 2,000 confirmed measles cases. Almost 80 per cent of those were in New Zealand’s biggest city, Auckland, where on the south side is a large Pacific Islander community.

And not only does this enjoy family links to Samoa, but daily flights to and from Apia. Last year, more than 80,000 such journeys were logged between the nations. And it is believed that from a passenger on one such trip, last August, the virus jumped from Auckland to Upolu.
