I like the software, so I’ll overlook it’s shady deeds.
It’s in their FAQ 🙂
Oh wow, they have an audio sample and everything! Looks like it’s “for jeo” (pronounced like “Mateo”)
I enjoy how there’s the correct answer, and then there’s the other answers in this thread. 🙃

For-jay-ho
For-gay-ho (Spanish)

Never knew about Esperanto, but that was fun to learn about.

I’ll do you one better; why is forgejo?
Forge Joe is how I pronounce it.
I say forge yo
Nice keyboard
Just like hotkinkyjo
“For Joe”
I keep reading it as “four-gee-joe”, but I’m pretty sure that is not the right pronounciation.
As a speaker of Esperanto, I believe they used the Esperanto for the noun “forge” which is spelled ‘forĝejo’ with a facy-pants g-circumflex.
In Esperanto, the G with a hat is pronounced like the soft G in forge. The J is pronounced like the letter Y, like in the English word fjord.
So, I don’t know if the makers of the tool intended the Esperanto pronunciation to be used. But if it is, the pronunciation would be like forge-AY-o.
Its named after the Esperanto word, but the intended pronunciation is for-JAY-oh.
