Trump may try to run, but it won’t happen. Even if a corrupt SCOTUS allowed it, some states would for sure fight that since elections are state level, and he doesn’t have the support required to win the general. He’d get his fanatics, but even many staunch conservatives are fed up with his shit. I think him being the top candidate in the general would create apathy amongst Republican voters enough that he wouldn’t win a swing state at the same time bolstering the opposition vote.
Dems have to put up someone not named Harris or Newsome and they’ll have a chance to get people to the polls for something instead of against something. With the way progressive candidates have succeeded in the past couple of weeks, there are signs of possible change. I don’t believe we’re there yet, but it’s better than the same shit again.
Also, Bovino has no support other than the extreme cases. He doesn’t have whatever that charisma is that Trump has, and he’s pissed off everyone. Him getting the nom would be great for democrats.
