Everyone always says they hate these 70s designs, but I frankly love them. They’re warm and earthy, they just feel comforting to me. Maybe it’s because the rural area I grew up in had tons of houses and places built like this.
Yeah I was gonna say, swap out that carpeting with something a little less sensory-overload, maybe change the wallpaper, but I’m down. The colors are fine. Like you said, earthy.

That is just wood veneer and a giant stone wall/fireplace. Maybe it could be refinished with a lighter stain?
