It’s a phonetic slur for “white people”. Try to say it.

I didn’t know we needed such a word.

You can call me whatever you want, but I will adjust my expectations of anyone using skin color based slurs to generalize people - regardless of the color.

“Whiteness” doesn’t really refer to skin colour. Who is and isn’t considered “white” (a surprisingly modern concept) is a often a rather complicated point of regional culture.

Call me when you get strung up to be hung by a sheriff calling you wypipo. Then you can call it a slur.

The cop called me “a destitute” the last time I was arrested. Does this count?

            Nope.

And, the whole ordeal would have been worse if you were black. It seems you’re struggling with the juxtaposition of white privilege and being treated like a poor person. All whiteness gets you is “better treatment than the exact same scenario if you were not white”. That’s it. It does not confer any guarantee of good treatment or success or wealth or anything at all. It confers only that one specific thing I pointed out.

I’m sure you are being treated poorly, I’m sure you’ve got it bad. Whiteness only gets most people “first slave” picked for the “good slaving”. Unfortunately, historically that’s enough to divide and conquer.

You’re describing American racism, and rightfully so, because wypipo is also an American reference to the privileged white American stereotype.

I’m not American, which is why I question the need for all these distinctions in the simple concept of hating everyone outside your own tribe.

This is a rhetiricical question though. You need these words because you’re all American, and a majority of you hate everyone outside your own tribe.

The rest of the world is well more racist. It’s just also more monocultural. I guarantee you that any NB country that had to deal with a sudden influx of 20% of the population as black skinned people, or 40% of the population as a different, NB race, they would handle it far worse than 2020s America.

Yes. I was describing American racism, as you said, it was the topic at hand, but we can change it to two different black skinned cultures, or two different Asian cultures, and functionally get the same result in the right country. In the right place and time you can have Han privilege or Hutu privilege.

There is no need to hate everyone outside of your own tribe, you are correct, but you didn’t come to this conclusion because you are outside of America. You came to this conclusion because you are a good person.

Dude, 2020s America is one step removed from gas chambers.

I agree. Can you point me to the country with a white European ruling class that makes up half the population, that is less racist to the other half of the population with brown skin, a huge fraction of which are black skinned?

I’m not trying to excuse America. I’m saying the rest of white Europe only keeps their teeth behind their lips when everyone else is safely caged away. And that this is a problem with not just white Europe, but with almost all modern nations because they follow the same clericalist horseshit that elevates an amoral framework over the feeling people who actually exist.

My main grip on this is that the sub-destinctions of racism makes it harder to deal with.

We have plenty of racism here in Scandinavia, but it’s only a knee deep trench. People are racist or they’re not. The racists hate the immigrants. They don’t care if the immigrants are black, middle eastern, asian or even white people from the town next over.

Once we start accepting the words that distinguish the out-groups, it only makes the trench deeper and more difficult to get out of, because then people can partially accept one group over the other, which maintains the overall racism.

Would this be algorithm speak though? I’ve seen in social media spell “wyt”, which is probably to circumvent the algorithm censorship.
