Windows 10 is the cow they keep milking. They have a whole program aimed at enterprise (corporate) customers customers to keep paying for exclusive Windows 10 security updates for years. They won’t make as money from the consumer-level Windows 10 so they only offered a year of security updates for consumers, and even a lot of consumers still had to pay for it, while others got it free if they agreed to Microsofts terms of using fucking Microsoft account and OneDrive to get it.
I suspect with Windows 11 continuing to go bad that we’ll see them offer paid security updates for consumers again next years to stop the bleeding out to Linux and Mac
