So bizarre to me. If I were forced to choose “which is gayer” id say the top is the gayest position.

As a hetero id easily be able to take a cock up the ass to avoid getting sent to kill or die. I’d struggle quite a bit more to maintain an erection strong enough to go in a man. Especially with the context motivator in the back of my head.

Modern western ideas where the most important part of sexual orientation is who you find attractive is somewhat new, and while it’s gained a lot of popularity among queer people worldwide it’s still not the default model everywhere. In a lot of times and places things such as who you have sex with regardless of attraction or what role you take in sex are considered more important (also at what age). Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if some people were to see a man who only has receptive sex and exclusively with women as more gay than a man who exclusively tops men.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if they’re thinking that a straight man might be willing to top a man to get out of the military, but not to bottom

who would have guessed, that a culture that hates woman also hates every feminine act.

ironically the exclusive gay top is the manliest man by that definition, he doesn’t even enjoy the softness of women. good=more manly, bad=more feminine.

it all checks out with my experience (no, not sexual) way to many of the second or third generation turks in germany have a completely fucked up view of masculinity and women. gotta look tough all the time! so tough! turkey is the best! erdogan is great! this sub culture was strong when i was in school and is alive and well today

Welcome to the old Greek/romen model! Sexuality is a matter of position and power dynamics. Not sexual attraction.

The absurd byzantine rules people create for themselves around this shit is wild. Why can’t humans just let people consensually fuck whomever they want?

The majority of the world kinda still uses the old Greek model to some degree. Sexuality is determined by position and power dynamics not by attraction.

Attraction as a major factor is mostly new to a lot of cultures.

I am a bisexual guy from Turkey, this is old news.

From what I heard these days you just go to a psychiatrist and act a bit gay. Then if the psych is not an asshole they give you something called “pink certificate” which makes you exempt from military service.

But like, I would give my nudes to the government if it means not doing military service. Nobody can make me serve for any country

My compulsory service is currently on hold because I am studying in university. Me and my boyfriend are planning to go the the military psychiatrist together to get pink certificates for both of us. Once we finish uni and gtfo of family home ofc

      Based (of you).

Does Turkey not allow for conscientious objection? Or is it just far too difficult to meet their standards?

I think there was an Iranian official working in their censorship board, who sent explicit messages to a young Iranian man telling him he wants to fuck him so hard.

My Turkish friend says there’s a running joke of “The Turkish military has the largest gay porn collection in the world”

Of course the clerical class wants gay porn “for research purposes”.

The all-holy ones, who only do holy things to their altar boys.

That’s the rationalization that MAGAs use to insist that Trump’s and Roger Stone’s political mentor, Roy Cohn wasn’t gay, he just liked to sexually dominate young blond men. That’s not gay at all, it’s just a power thing.

BTW, just noting that both Trump and Stone were young blond men.

I’d always heard that he didn’t consider himself homosexual because he argued homosexuals were weak people victimized by society, and he refused to see himself that way.
