    Or, now hear me out, I can use the ziper seal anyway and save 80 bucks on an appliance I’ll never use.

      You can’t get a good vacuum seal with a regular ziplock bag.

      Food will last longer properly sealed.

      I’ve never needed to keep an avocado long enough to require vacuum sealing, but if keeping food fresher longer is important to you, a vacuum sealer will do better than a ziplock.

        i mean you can get a pretty decent vacuum by just sucking the air out of a regular plastic bag, twisting up the loose end, and putting a separate clip on it. Plus that’s way more reusable.
