Can someone explain fiber for me? I see guides recommending it heavily and then other saying to limit it 1-2 days before bottoming as it leads to gas. I’ve been vegan for years. My biggest worry is being gasy and ruining it. I know dieting around sex is controversial, but I genuinely don’t seek judgement, I get enough from homophobes as is. So, what’d you recommend to avoid gas? 😭

Honestly, I just eat what I normally do and take Metamucil/psyllium husk powder regularly. I’ll do a very light cleaning day-of but that’s about it

Just remember if you take medication take it 1 hour before the fiber or 2 to 4 hours after taking fiber b/c it’ll absorb the medication and make it less effective. I found this out the hard way

Maybe we’re special, but we honestly just use the restroom before and really haven’t had any issues (though we aren’t vegan, not sure if that makes a difference or not). Even if he let one rip, I think we’d just laugh. Sex doesn’t have to be perfect anyways :)

Gas tends to happen when you drastically increase the amount of certain foods in your diet but it doesn’t last forever. Once your gut biome adjusts, you tend to get less gas. I got to a point where I started eating a lot more vegetables and leafy greens. I also started adding apple cider vinegar to my drink every meal and eating more beans. I was very gassy for a few weeks until my gut adjusted. Now I almost never get gas. If you want good sex, I recommend eating a healthy diet that is low in dairy and keeping to it for the long term. Probiotics and prebiotics will help food digest better and not be so messy coming out. I would also recommend investing in a bidet.

To limit the problem of gas it’s recommended to slowly increase you fibre intake over the course of 2 weeks.

Takes all your fibre in 1 or 2 days is not going to be a please time for yourself.

For me personally, cutting out sugar was enough to make my shit a lot more solid and consistent. I still do quick rinse outs before playing just to make sure but I haven’t found it necessary to take husk or increase my fiber intake. I still do deep cleans sometimes but that’s more because I enjoy them than they’re necessary.
