Dude we got this one building in town, it’s had three different department stores. Every single one, the employees have always been so fucking depressed. Like at least one person was, openly weeping on the bench by the toilets and another weeping and/or doing whippits in the toilets when I’d shop or deliver there. I think the building is cursed or something.

Can they be good? Yes. But equally, there is usually a more appealing alternative available. Unless you’re in a place of misery.

- a small airport
- a hospital late at night
- pret-a-manger
- rural train station
