Garland (a Republican) was assigned as AG. Biden releasing files (especially if trump is in them and not letting AG do his work) would be perceived as a weaponization of AG (thing they were accused of).
Yes hindsight is 20/20 but at three time that looked sensible.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. It’s all one big party for the rich and powerful.
