Would a wild (I think coyote?) even let someone wash it? I suspect maybe a tame one that someone used a picture of to make a funny story.

      coyotes are smart little fuckers.

they understand that if you act well you get food.

If you only have one coyote and give them food, chances are likely they will be nice if they think they can get more.

that said, they are vicious wild animals that should never be approached unless you’re looking for a myriad of diseases or injuries.

I suspect taxidermy. Take a closer look at its posture. It’s looking straight to the front

Are you suggesting the post in Lemmy shitpost might be a joke?

I have been known to not get humor, I thought the joke was in sharing someone else documenting a stupid decision of theirs unwittingly, and therefore if it was itself fake it wouldn’t have the same impact

For some people it being fake does ruin it. For a lot (me included) the idea itself is funny. When George Carlin was describing the first time he made a joke, the description described comedy to me. I don’t know exactly what he said but along the lines of: the first time I told a joke it was to my mother. I made her laugh. It was the first time I twisted an idea in such a way that it was funny.

So yeah, two people can look at the same photo/scenario and the person providing a perspective that seems absurd and funny is the comedian. Sorry it’s late but I hope I made sense.

I think the most likely explanation is someone was messing with the Facebook group this was posted in. Although I have no idea how calm a coyote would be if you captured it.
