My great great grandfather was killed in a similar massacre in Sicily on Jan 3 1894. The village peasants were petitioning the mayor for basic human rights in the piazza. So the gendarmes were called in to disperse the (unarmed, peaceful) crowd. 17 of his neighbors fell with him that day.

His widow (now associated with malcontents) was able to flee to America with their children. This is my heritage. I hope I do not need to flee. Or maybe it is my place to repeat history and send my wife and son into exile after I am killed for standing up for what is right? To inspire those who come after?

This is why citizens should be armed at all times. Every single encounter with fascism proves this.

Yes, the British wore red coats back in the early days of America.

This is a battle in the American revolution when the U.S. split from England. The red coats are indeed English.

Thank you! I wasn’t quite sure what event was referenced in the painting.

Well alas we’ve seen it all before

Knights in armor, days of yore

The same old fears and the same old crimes

We haven’t changed since ancient times

The US had been overrun with radical fascist terrorists and propaganda artists and the last President absolutely refused under any circumstance to defend the country and he was absolutely forced upon us by fascists in the Democrat Party. While trump fucks around in LA you should be armed up and storming Fox News studios as the first warning shot
