Thought this was an interesting question and I’m sure there’s lots of suggestions out there.
Firefly 2 as sequel of the movie👌
I loved the original version so much more than the movie version of the timeline. Gimme more show
1899
I’m still heartbroken Netflix cancelled it because it had the unfortunate timing of airing at the same time as Wednesday. The directors’ previous series, “Dark”, was a proper mindfuck.
Dark was amazing. I didn’t bother with 1899 after I heard that it was cancelled.
I think I’m developing a fear of commitment with shows these days, with so many cancelations
Firefly. There is no other answer for me.
There is nothing really close. Better off Ted is an obvious if distant number 2 for me.
Came here to say this. The movie helped but not as much as another season.
FIREFLY. PREACH IT @moops
Black books for sure
Deep space nine
deleted by creator
Caprica.
They never really gave it a chance. It was slow at first but then started building suspense and drama and I was hooked and then devastated when they cancelled it.
Firefly
At least we got serenity to kinda tie up lose ends
I didn’t want to see them quickly tied off though, I wanted to see them expand into grand story arcs.
A reboot would be very welcome.
I am mixed. A reboot would be nice but everyone, myself included would compare it to the nostalgia in our head.
Also I have heard that Whedon is somewhat problematic now. If that is true we would probably want someone with less baggage at the helm :(Found this that I need to read to see whats up https://www.vulture.com/2021/05/complete-timeline-joss-whedon-allegations.html
Hopefully he isn’t an ass.
Edit: Welp I read that. It is gross. Whedon hasn’t commented on it but a whole host of his cast and crew are accusing him of lots of bad stuff including one part where they said he wasn’t allowed to be alone with Michelle Trachtenberg when she was 14.
I obviously have no idea if any or all of the accusations are true.
I’d love to see a whole spinoff just on Book’s back story. I’m so curious about who he was and what lead him to become the Shepherd we know and love.
Was gonna say, kids these days don’t know the pain of 2000’s Fox!
The one true answer.
Yeah, this. It was such an interesting premise, an engaging cast, and really seemed to be going someplace interesting. Would’ve loved to see it get enough time to find its voice. Even their bottle episode was great fun.
Hi Randall Munroe!
The Expanse
The Tick. Any iteration really, but cartoon or Amazon version over the Fox live action.
Firefly
The firefly book series is worth checking out
I’m happy to forget the end of we can just move along.
The Orville. The only show I watched on basic cable at a particular time in ages. Glad they made the jump to hulu, but the 3rd session made me feel like they dumped a couple of seasons worth of plot into it, since they knew they weren’t getting another season.
I thought it was still open to a fourth potential season?
Damn… Seth really pulled off something special by focusing on the void left by modern Trek. Interpersonal relationships and philosophy taking the primary conflict focus while the backdrop of the conflicts is “pew pew space battles” really showed how you can still get everyone’s rocks off to the pretty lights and colors while giving them something to actually chew on mentally.
Either way, loved the show.
Pushing Daisies
Fringe
Metalocalypse.
Adult swim deserves to burn in a fiery hell for cancelling that show, really wtf
There’s another movie coming out in a couple months of you haven’t heard. Along with a new album to go with that movie.
Also, they are on tour with Babymetal for the BABYKLOK TOUR from end of August to mid October.
