      How is this relevant to the post? ‘dumb’ isn’t on the list? I’m honestly struggling to see how the meme is ableist

        Common examples of ableist language are words like, “lame,” “dumb,” “retarded,” “blind,” “deaf,” “idiot,” “imbecile,’ “nuts,” “psycho,” and “spaz.”

        It is listed on page 1, paragraph 3.

          Huh I never knew dumb was ableist, I always thought it referred to a person’s decision making rather than intellectual ability

      The fact that they suggest using person first language tells me they aren’t a good source. Identity first language is preferred in lots of neurodivergent circles. If you want to be proper you should really ask the person you are talking to what language they prefer to be used.
