Fox news isn’t a source of information, it’s a source of propaganda.
Fox news isn’t a reliable source. They literally called for the elimination of homeless people.
Conspicuously omitted some victims there…
Everyone is missing the big issue:
Schools shooters used to be headline national news.
Now they’re so common no one gives a shit. But if you kill any wealthy person? That’s not just national news, the president and everyone on TV and social media is going to know your name and who you are.
This is gonna be the next trend after school shootings.
It’s not just people doing it for political beliefs, they’re gonna be people doing it because they have nothing to do with their life and desperately want any kind of fame.
Faux can blame “the extreme left” all they want, it’s not going to stop these killings, because it would take gun laws and giving everyone something worth living for.
Republicans have been fighting against everything that can prevent this for generations.
Tbh, that’s kind of a good change in a fucked up way. I’d much rather people be taking out the high profile people that are either directly causing massive societal issues or have the power to make real change. I value literally any child’s life more than CK or BT. Kids are innocent, healthcare execs and right wing grifters are not.
If these people are the root of the issue that leads someone to violence, why should they be exempted from the violence that they caused?
It’s not like that - School shootings are still getting ever more frequent as time goes on.
Boardrooms not schoolrooms
Just watch how quickly gun laws tighten, faster than CEO’s assholes.
… desperately want any kind of fame
I don’t really agree. In neither case did the perpetrator seek attention, rather the event itself was spotlighted by the news cycle.
I feel the cases cited were retaliations to perceived wrongs undermining our rights; a last ditch effort from abuses or failures our government should protect us from.
This is gonna be the next trend after school shootings.
It’s not just people doing it for political beliefs, they’re gonna be people doing it because they have nothing to do with their life and desperately want any kind of fame.
I thought given the context it was clear…
But yes, when you chop a piece of a sentence out of the rest and strip away all context, it’s not gonna make sense.
You got me there
I just quoted that to reference my comment to yours.
But I still disagree on the motivation behind the violence whether political, fame, or trendy. I think it’s being wronged and powerless within the the limits of our legal system and stalled economic possibilities that make some lash out.
No, you just still don’t understand from context that it’s clear I was referring to future shooters going after wealthy people rather than school kids
Does it make sense now?
Why the fuck post faux news bs here
Brian Thompson made a fortune denying sick people healthcare. Charlie Kirk made a fortune teaching young men how to hate minorities and that gun violence is necessary.
Idk man, it seems like maybe doing evil shit increases the chances of someone trying to kill you. I can understand why fox news is concerned.
School shootings are still by far one of the most common forms of this kind of externalized violence, and we need not look farther back then a few months to see dem leaders losing their lives to this too. I think this needs to be addressed regardless of what people think of what happened to Kirk or Thompson. Unfortunately, the world does not actually care about karmic balance and doing evil does not really change the likelihood of being killed, even when limiting the scope to just political violence.
Researchers… What of what? Psychohistory?
as political violence becomes normalized online, particularly among ideologically extreme left in America
Source is Fox News. I have serious doubts about the study they are referring to even being real.
particularly among ideologically extreme left in America, researchers say.
