Genuine question: I don’t know much about Newsom. From what I have heard & read about him online, he seemed to be left relative to the Democratic establishment, meaning left to the party officials like Schumer (or someone like Obama) but obviously still right compared to Sanders or AOC.
Is that wrong? Because most neoliberal establishment would for me rather mean at least as right as Schumer and more in the direction of someone like Joe Manchin.

      That’s a fair question.

He’s been pretty consistently against the LGBTQ community. He’s been pandering to conservatives in the recent democrat trend of just moving right in response to 2024. He’s anti worker and anti homeless but pro surveillance. He’s also just a shitty person who only cares about himself, he broke COVID quarantine for a party and cheated on his wife. People think he’s progressive because California but he’s basically a conservative by any reasonable metric.
