I’ve been aware of him since the '90s. He’s been anti-vax long before that moved from a liberal to a Republican position during covid. He’s had a lot of other liberal positions that have moved toward conservatism over the years.

It’s the reason I specified that the year is going to be important because he has changed. I think part of the issue is that he’s often just dumb more than funny and that makes him seem more conservative than he is and has been in the past.

But he’s always had a grifter vibe.

There was an easy way to know these tariffs weren’t going to increase domestic manufacturing. These tariffs had no exceptions for manufacturing equipment. We can’t make the things that make things anymore. It all comes from other countries. When there was no exception to get around that problem there was no way companies were going to invest in a 5 year plan to make a factory that cost more than it should.

That would require the plan to be consistent and not always change.
