I’m trying to get this down to some real job titles that can be “completely replaced by an LLM,” but I keep running into the problem where no one can actually name one—without tossing in a TPS report, mmmkay.

He’s still getting paid. 🤣

I dated a “forgotten” train baby.

BOEING KILLED JOHN BARNETT

He did have rental properties….

No worries. I just wanna hear that dude say what he said without having to jump through a bunch of hoops

I don’t know why you linked me to the song… But that is not what I wanted… Thank you for not at all listening to the audio clip

I hope they fucking held out for more… But I’m sure it will not be as awesome as that

Does anyone have a link to the audio that doesn’t have advertisements pop-ups or a shitty mobile experience? Perhaps… A direct link to an audio file? I fucking hate the web

So, no actual job titles just a bunch of sarcastic mumbo-jumbo? I’m willing to have a real conversation about this but you actually have to participate and not be a dick

Then there is no point, and we should probably not care that much.

OK, I understand… But maybe tell me what the job is? I’m struggling to get anyone to actually answer a question. Maybe I should go ask an LLM 🙃

Luigi!

Well, the planet will bounce back without us. Sure, it won’t be the same… but a billion years ago was pretty different from now.
Great Oxygenation Event: Around 2.4 billion years ago, a type of photosynthetic microorganism—cyanobacteria, often called blue-green algae—began producing large amounts of oxygen as a byproduct of photosynthesis. At the time, Earth’s atmosphere had almost no oxygen, and this new oxygen was actually toxic to most existing life. The result was it killed most of the life on earth including itself, and new life forms adapted to oxygen.
So in a few billion more years, whatever intelligent life pops up will look back and think of us as just another algae problem.

Screw humanity.

I’ll bite. I don’t disagree that an LLM could make a far less skilled person able to do a job requiring more skills. But, which jobs do you feel could be entirely replaced by just an LLM?

The other +300,000,000 people.
Well, automated phone systems have existed for a long time, as have “chat bots” in some fashion. I’m all for solving my problem without a person, so I’m not opposed to these—but even I end up just screaming “agent, operator, fuck you!” More often than not.
I suppose that tier 1 customer support could certainly be considered one of the most impacted job titles
