The job of a tech CEO:
Well that song is in my head now…

I think “MAGA incapable in acknowledging they’re wrong” would be a more concise and broadly correct title.

Trump, like Putin, doesn’t understand strategy. They both only understand tactics.

Yeah, why would anyone think that someone endorsing the AfD is a Nazi?

Has musk said as much? Or is this just mental gymnastics making excuses for the guy?

The reason I dislike this comment is it characterizes the work of many different people as “don’t care.” I would bet money that there are people who work on fediverse projects who care very deeply about UX but have to settle because they have day jobs.

This is how I remember: https://youtu.be/JyFI-jpDkQA
“of the feminine species”
Uh, do you want to explain to this guy what a species is, or do I have to?
I showed my partner this post and he let out a genuine belly laugh. Well done!
I think the fact that any old code is being removed at all is a good thing. The point of the post (at least from my perspective) is that deleting old code is something necessary for prolonged support of a codebase and it’s not something Microsoft is or maybe even ever will prioritize.

Why would I do that? People might see me!
But joking aside, I admit I haven’t done much with the laptop since installing mint (cinnamon for those playing at home). But I did instsll a daw (reaper) and recorded some music ideas using my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 audio interface

I’ve installed mint on my laptop, I like it so far. Everything was super easy to get set up, even the graphics drivers
Mind giving a summary for the rest of us?

Imo, this belongs in nottheonion. How do you signify a community on Lemmy?

From what I understand, this allows arbitrary command execution. So, an attacker can specify a string of text that something on the affected system will just plop into a command line and execute.
The pain of self repression against the potential pain of self expression
So I’ve already commented on this post, but I’ve had another thought: imagine if your CEO sent you an email saying “we need to do X”. You respond with “no, X causes this issue, we need to do Y” and your CEO responds with “You’re absolutely right! Here’s how we will implement this new policy”
