No wonder the bear attacked the man. He’s so hungry that his belly is even see through.
Proud owner of Miez (born 2013)
and previous owner of Koda and Lilly (2013&2021)
M&K ended up fighting all the time. I then took in L as a new playmate for Koda. Luckily K&L found a new home with friends

Yeah like “underaged sex workers”? No such thing. It’s “sex trafficked minors”.
That’s Landolf Ladig umm Mister Höcke for you.
Edit: I just realized that might need some explanation: https://jurios-de.translate.goog/2021/06/16/wer-ist-landolf-ladig-afd-landeschef-bjoern-hoecke-verklagt/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=de&_x_tr_pto=wapp
After all, who is better at whitewashing than Nazis?
My first though was sunken cost phallacy, but then again maybe it’s in the nature of authority-obiding jobs to attract people who, well, would love to live in an authoritarian regime. Life is simple and structured this way.
You’re completely leaving out why they are doing this and that the €XU are the ones trying to fish votes from far right by doing exactly the same thing: Taking the far right talking points as their own and making a policy trying to “fix” those issues. So then SPD is trying to fish votes from right next to them and become more rightwing themselves. Etc. In the end there is no real left wing party anymore, just dumb Putin worshippers and guess who wins? Still the far right, and everybody is like: How could this have been prevented? My point being: All the established parties play the same game not realizing that if you play by the far rights rules you cannot win at all. It’s not at all unique to the current government.
My all time favourite is Lord of war. Perfect song, nice way to show the bullet production and then in the end when it hits its target… Could not imagine a better opening to this movie. Especially once you get to know that it is based on some real russian arms dealer.
They’re on the same ground actually, not a hill or anything. I just took the pic on the very top of the ride.
Thank you very much

This is exactly why I’m doing most of my posts bilingual: It’s a fun way to learn such things. I also tend to translate location names, such as Oaktown for Eichstätt.
Here is the full album that I created this way if you’re interested: Today I went on a walk with my dad in my hometown https://imgur.com/gallery/z1ddA72

Germany has taken some serious “renaturation” steps to fix the grave errors done since the 1940s to 1980s where they straightened rivers and dried up a lot of land. E.g. at all of Altmühl’s weirs they dug a little creek around it to enable fish to migrate or sometimes even bigger projects like this one:

you misspelled papered
I used Der Spiegel as it is the first big reputable newspaper reporting on this. Haven’t found an English source yet. I have all trackers blocked through noscript and am on mobile, so don’t really know if this is better, but here’s an alternative link: https://www-aerzteblatt-de.translate.goog/nachrichten/149595/Aorta-als-eigenstaendiges-Organ-eingestuft?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=de&_x_tr_pto=wapp

Working in this exact sector as a software developer, I get that this comes from the safety principle: When in doubt, do nothing. It is safer to not apply brakes when you’re unsure so you do not cause an accident that would be avoided by doing nothing. However you cannot sell this as a safety feature to just switch off when you’re sure an accident is about to happen. That’s just stupid.
