Right, what’s ‘Dutch’?
Right, what’s ‘Dutch’?
I hear what you’re saying, but if I may provide an extreme example… Try wearing a sauvastika in the western world these days and what do you think the response will be? Once a symbol of abundance and prosperity became the most prominent hateful symbol for generations. Decades after the annihilation of Nazi Germany and the swastika is still given their interpretation. I don’t have an answer as to how to prevent this from happening all over again like it is to a lesser degree with vocabulary such as this is describing.
Sad, he probably would’ve broken 2 hours.
I’m at a point where I wish our support forum was at least on Discord, the majority of my community is pretty old but it spans down into a handful of Gen Z with more Millennials and Z coming in as the Boomers get out. Even so the main forum is a Facebook page. Splinter groups using WhatsApp, Signal and iMessage. It’s not like the older gen is technically inept, for the most part, it’s just they’re entrenched and moving them would take a massive, easy to use software that is far superior to FB’s viability. Personally using Discord and it’s seamless jump from PC-Laptop-Phone is nice, admittedly I’m in the same mindset of those in my groups on FB as I haven’t tried anything else.
Am I the only one who thinks ‘terminates’ isn’t the best synonym for fired with this employer?
No good point, I appreciate discussions!
I think they know if it didn’t exempt city residents there would be enough backlash from eligible voters it wouldn’t pass. Seeing as it’s a fine and not a ban it can have secondary effects of improving safety and the environment but primarily it will raise money.
Well they also exempt taxis and city residents so it’s not about safety or the environment it’s about the money.
Yeah, and the assessed value is compared to the other assessed value of homes in the taxable area and that’s how they divide the tax revenue from the value of the house. So if a whole area is in feeefall and loses (or gains) 50% value equally then the taxes would be approximately the same. Every house dropping value and the city government isn’t going to just accept half the budget from property taxes that year, they just reassess and recalculate amounts owed.
So when house prices more than doubled during COVID did their tax revenue increase or did they readjust the % to match the new values?
City taxes are typically part of the budget and property values determine how much you pay in relation to other properties in the city, not how much your house costs. Say the city budget is $1,000,000 and 100 houses in the city (total), and they’re all equal value. Each house pays $10,000 in property taxes regardless of the value being $100,000or $1,000,000 per house.
Hyperbole and simplification done to make an easy explanation.
It’s also a character in some of their games! 😅
Should be a rule if you post a story about a law that doesn’t include a link to the actual law you should post the link.
For anyone with questions - it’s not a long read, I do have more questions after reading. Like why was a full part about Taiwan residency? I read through it twice and didn’t understand why there exclusively.
Did you respond to the wrong question? He asked if the numbers posted showing a much larger shift from Biden in the lead to Trump now in the lead for men, preceded by the statement that there was not as much a shift in men as there was in women. Then you go on about Gen Z.
Wonder why they didn’t invite Italy this time? 😂
Yeah, they’re so easily distractible during any scene that they’re doing work (unless adderal is in the mix). Then they go off on these weird tangents for far too long. One of my favorite themes in the show.
Maybe comforting to think about it like this: kids find a way. Every generation has individuals that will outsmart restrictive methods out there for the masses.
What if I did middle out?
My favorite part was they’re still discussing it and say Richard’s been in there for hours, meaning they’ve been occupied for hours optimizing. 😂
I didn’t know that, the way they word these headlines sounded like he was still eligible for the delegates/nomination just not the advertisement on the ballot.
Thanks for the info.
These States are all (talking about) pulling him from the Primary ballot right? His name is so inundated with his base are they going to see the ballot and just go with Haley? I think 10x the number that pick Haley because her name is the only name on the ballot will just write him in, if they would’ve voted for him by checking the box. Or maybe not, only way to get an indication is a State pulling his name.
First thought as well 😂
