It been downhill since they went Electron, I don’t remember the old app taking more than 3 to 4 seconds. Since the Electron client loading times have been unpredictable sometimes 5-10 seconds and sometimes to around 30 seconds even though no updates available.

No thanks, at that point I’d rather just a buy a third party one of higher quality.

GIMP is as robust as Photoshop, although from scratch or transition may be harder to use? paint.net is a middle ground.

The thing is those are just security updates, most software will work for the time being, but it only been a year and some newer DX12 games already having issues with 10 unfortunately.

The effect is that OEMs are bringing 8GB laptops back, and hopefully, Windows 11 won’t choke on it.

8GB of RAM: the gift that keeps on giving. In 2005, you were basically running a supercomputer. By 2015, you were… still doing fine, honestly. Fast forward to 2025 and your machine is wheezing like it just climbed five flights of stairs while Chrome is open. But wait—2026 rolls around and suddenly 8GB is back to being acceptable again because everyone finally realized Electron apps were a mistake and went back to native development. Just kidding, we’re all doomed. Your IDE alone needs 12GB now.

Smartphones had been vulnerable for pretty much it’s entire existence, and most of time, while true software do play a role, it’s been more about stuff such as bootloader exploits.

Sadly Linux phones on it’s state are insecure by design.

I feel this is a meme the average sketchy VPN company would share in their social media to catch users.
