My parents struggled when I was growing up. They’d bend over backwards to make sure my siblings and I always had food on our plates and clothes on our backs. While they’re better off now, I still remember the times when they wouldn’t eat to make sure there was some for us.

I used to be more active as a teen when I was in the boy scouts, but now that I’m working full time, I want to get more involved again.

• desktop for more demanding games or if I’m playing with friends. Also use it for running dnd sessions
• laptop for writing, productivity stuff, or anything else where I don’t need a lot of power or if I’m on the go.
• my phone is usually used for scrolling or other time waster apps

How much I use each one really depends on the day

Adobe is notorious difficult to run on Linux, even with wine. It’s one of the few things that I’d dare say could lock someone to windows unfortunately

Having a large number of kids was really common during that time period. Back then kids often helped around the house and on the farm; plus it was pretty common for kids to die before reaching adulthood which is another reason for the large number.

It wasn’t until around the 40s or 50s that the 1-3 kids per family became common
