Who gives a shit what he looks like. Focus on the real problems instead of being childish like the conservatives.
Yes, and now Trump will help provide significantly more arms than Harris would have, even if she kept providing the same amount as Biden. Surely I don’t have to tell you that that’s worse?
We need to mobilize to change the DNC and Democratic Party leadership in the time we have in between these decisions, not ignore it for 4 years and then throw away your vote in protest.
You can be rightfully mad at the party that’s failing to represent you correctly (I certainly am) and still make the pragmatic choice of not getting the guy who will make those issues worse elected.
We need to come together nationally and locally to attempt to affect change within the DNC more often than every 4 years, because it seems like every time we’re all reminded how incompetent they are, it’s too late for us to do anything about it for that election cycle.
What lesson exactly? That if the ideal candidate isn’t run, a subset of liberals will pick the worse of two options?
All that does is teach the conservatives that if they can convince you that the democrat candidate fails you enough on a single issue, they effectively have your vote. Regardless of the conservative candidate’s stance on that issue.
You have made the choice to make the problem you care about profoundly worse because there wasn’t a way to make it completely better. Have fun watching that play out as you intended I guess.
Is this not a thing in other western countries? Serious question and would appreciate knowing more
Right, I think this is the point that the above comment is making as well. That the numbers of publicly/out gay people went up because of a more accurate count thanks to a less hostile sociopolitical climate.
I think the point that’s being confused in that comment is that the fear mongering was obviously bullshit, and modern bigots pointing at any increase in LGBTQ+ identification nowadays may continue to use those statistics as justification for anti-LGBTQ+ platforms. Instead of engaging that argument that the hate mongers have always known is in bad faith, it’s much more to the point nowadays to make them explain what they think is wrong with increased LQBTQ+ identification, or as the original comment put it, “Yeah, and?”
Bruh if I could extend my dog’s life by my smartphone’s lifespan for the same cost I of course would. Everybody I know would
Further in the article (from the archive link above), just for context:
Some sick Pacific Northwest metal/hardcore to checkout:
There’s SO MUCH good modern hardcore music here right now that I’m barely scratching the surface, but hopefully at least one of these does something for you!

‘Hateing’ this post for that horrific spelling
Yeah I agree - as a small time gigging musician, fuck scalpers and also fuck government overreach here. Anything that hurts scalpers (in all fields, but tickets especially) is interesting to me and the average concert goer, but if it comes at the cost of broadly limiting the used music gear market, among thousands of other used equipment communities, it’s misdirected legislature at best.
The companies and systems that enable scalping and customer extortion such as Live Nation absolutely need to be limited and restricted, but setting a broad limit across all secondhand sales at $600 when it was previously $20,000 is an inaccurate miscorrection. More informed and nuanced legislature is necessary
Absolutely! Not as bad as hiccups but a similar kind of minor but all absorbing annoyance
Yoooo this actually worked. Had a glass-ish amount a couple nights in a row and have had no problems for over a week now! Thanks for the tip
No clothes both times and dry hair. The scientific method cannot constrain me
Dried my hair first for science to isolate variables 🧑🔬

I’m going to travel internationally for the first time thanks to a work trip. Stressed but excited!
Anybody have any “must-sees” in Taipei?
