A whole lot of people lack critical thinking skills and only half of them vote GOP.

Downvoting does both things. I know the downvotes happen for “unwanted” gender stuff happens and that sucks. Both things can be true at the same time and there is no single solution that will make everyone happy.

It doesn’t do it directly. Downvotes promote self-moderation. Posts getting downvoted disincentivizes someone from posting another thing that might get downvoted. When you take downvotes away, people are less inclined to self-moderate and it shifts the burden to a mod.

Well, regardless of how you might feel about the just you’re doing, as a frequent user I think you’re doing great. Moderation of any platform is a thankless job. It’s a lot like politics where the people that want moderation power probably aren’t the ones that should have it.

Downvotes. I think they should be on. I know brigading is def a problem. But on the other hand, not having downvotes enabled forces users to rely on reporting everything to a mod instead of letting the downvotes do their job.

The costs and donation stuff. That’s a lot of personal investment without much in return. Once I’m employed again I’d love to help out somehow.

I remember this as well and I posted about it either here or the r/ and got downvoted all to shit over it. Gaslighting that it never happened. He said something about being a transition pres, bringing people back together and would hand o er the reins or some shit. I voted for him and he got his 4 years. Now the old Warhawk has lots of potential conflicts to get us mired in and doesn’t want to give up the chair.

No. You get the status quo with all those funds being absorbed by contractors for operating costs. Nothing substantive will change. Did I mention budget overruns? Those also.

Agreed. I can’t see the GOP pivoting away from Trump voluntarily nor Trump voluntarily agreeing to be off ballot.

It’s funny, I specifically remember Biden saying he was going to be a 1-term president and that he wouldn’t run for a second term, handing off to a younger person to take up the proverbial torch. I think it was in relation to debate questions about his age.

Maybe providing an alternative candidate to pivot away from Biden if he continues polling so poorly against Trump?

I suspect he has the same issue I do. Too big for normal stores. Not big enough for big and tall. Apparently people who have 42” waists only have 30” inseams and if you have 54 shoulders you must have a 6xl belly and tyrannosaurus arms
