The woman came forward to the NYT earlier to get on record but held back the story until another accuser came forward. She has contemporaneous emails with her therapist dealing with the fallout and people in her life she told the story to around the time it happened who can confirm it, as well as woman she warned after cutting contact with Platner. These allegations are as credible as they get and some of the reactions to this story are frankly disgusting.

For the past two or three decades congress has been able to do quite little outside of the massive omnibus budgets, since the budget is the ONE bill they are required by law to produce yearly. Obviously present conditions have worsened this divide but its been years since the govenrment has had any capacity to work together to produce anything in a substantial timeframe. This isnt even taking into account lobbyists and foreign agents from countries that aren’t real that direct what small capacity politicians do have for each other to make more wars we don’t call wars. The system is broken on multiple fundamental levels, replacing every single candidate and aide wouldn’t even be a start.

US voters are left in a modern society that give us less free time than we had even 30 years ago and also pays us less taking into account inflation all with a political system that only works against them.

This isn’t about private citizen rights vs the state. It’s private vs private rights. Private property owners do not have the same obligations to defend your civil rights as the state

You’re still not under burden to prove you have a right, they have to prove you don’t. And its legally required public accommodations vs private citizen, this bill ONLY deals with private property that allows the public there, like storefronts. Under law these places need to provide what they call public accommodation.

Gun carriers are NOT a protected class.

I literally said this in this very thread. That’s why this law doesn’t prevent businesses from banning guns on the premise. Literally all it does is make it so they can’t get in trouble if they walk onto property open to the public that no one has proactively declared a gunfree zone. If the property has posted that guns arent allowed, then they’re still not allowed. If the business owner verbally says you cant carry here, they have to leave or secure the weapon elsewhere. All it does is say they can’t face consequences until someone tells them it’s not allowed, rather than assuming they’re unwelcome everywhere until otherwise told.

Has their habitat been expanding all over? I know I heard of them in places around me they haven’t been before or at least been lately.
